Today is St. Patrick’s Day, so naturally, a cute little 4 leaf clover is what we’re making! Hand these out to your friends at school or keep a few in your pocket to give to anyone in need of some green today.
These only take a few minutes to whip up, so you could make one just to try it out. Don’t come for me if you’re hooked and end up making 20! These are THAT fun and easy!
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn – I’m using Red Heart Super Saver in Spring Green
- Size US H/5mm crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
We’re going to create the leaves first and then complete the stem.
Leaves:
Step 1: Make a magic ring.
Step 2: Chain 3. Work 2 double crochet into the ring. Chain 3 and then slip stitch into the ring.
This is your first leaf. Repeat Step 2 three more times.
You should have 4 leaves now.
Stem:
Chain 5 and turn. Slip stitch into the 2nd chain from the hook and into each stitch back up the chain.
Slip stitch into the magic ring to secure the stem.
Finishing:
Cut your yarn and pull it through. Weave in your ends.
